About the CLIO Healthcare Awards and Entry Process
The CLIO Healthcare Awards are an extension of the CLIO Awards, one of the world’s most recognized awards competitions for advertising, design and interactive. Healthcare accounts for more than one-third of the U.S. gross national product and has become one of the most visible sectors of advertising, promotion and creative design in the last few years, particularly on TV and online, but is regulated differently and more stringently than traditional advertising and promotion. Online entry submissions are being accepted until Aug. 7, 2009, for all work appearing between January 1 and June 30, 2009. The CLIO Healthcare Awards recognize the differences in advertising between direct-to-professional and direct-to-consumer and cover the key areas of the healthcare industry, including pharmaceuticals, device and diagnostics, disease awareness, over-the-counter, and health services with an opportunity to submit for print, poster, billboard, direct mail, innovative, interactive, TV/cinema/digital, radio, strategic communications/public relations and integrated campaigns.
